Tom and I drove down to Tillamook today. Sure, we bought some cheese while we were there, but the drive was the main event. Wow. I've been living here most of the year, and I'm still bowled over at how beautiful it is.

While walking the dogs tonight, even though there was a full moon and it wasn't quite dark yet, we saw two meteors. We also saw a bat, but that had nothing to do with the Perseid meteor shower.
